Miya joined the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 2022, and is currently based in our Winchester office. Miya is aiming to qualify as a solicitor in 2024.
Qualifications and Professional Memberships
- LLB (Hons) Law Degree, 2:1, University of Winchester, 2021
- Legal Practice Course (LLM), (Commendation), University of Law, Guildford, 2021
Experience and Expertise
- Trainee Solicitor, currently working in the Residential Conveyancing Department
- Advising and assisting with all aspects of buying and selling residential property, including drafting of contracts, raising and responding to enquiries, investigating titles, obtaining searches and reporting the results to clients.
- Advising and assisting in the sale and purchase of unregistered land.
- Advising and assisting with transfers of equity
- Advising and assisting in relation to the redemption of mortgages and the grant of remortgages and further charges.
- Assisting with transfers of part.
- Advising and assisting with all pre-exchange work, exchanging contracts and attending to the completion of transactions.
- Attending to all post-completion formalities including responding to any requisitions raised by HM Land Registry and any leasehold post-completion requirements.
