Taking place from 22-26 January 2018, Family Mediation Week aims to raise awareness of mediation and how it can help separating families manage their issues collaboratively and productively.

Whether you have agreed all the terms of the separation with your partner or whether there is still a contentious topic, maybe the financial aspects or how much time the children will spend with each parent, you have options available to you.

Mediation is a service which helps a couple to discuss and hopefully agree any outstanding matters in an amicable and productive way. The parties meet with one specifically trained Mediator who’s aim is to help you work together to reach an agreement on specific elements of the separation.

Here at Eric Robinson Solicitors all of our legal advisors are able to able to support you as you go through the mediation process. We can advise you as to your options, whether proposals are in your best interests and whether there are any additional issues that should be considered.

In addition there is available funded mediation making your mediation meetings free of charge if you are assessed as financially eligible. If so we can also offer you the above specialist legal advice free of charge. This is called ‘Help with mediation’. This service is available solely at our Bitterne office.
