Eric Robinson Solicitors has been singled out by a panel of legal industry experts for its investment in the career development and progression of its employees.
Managers and senior leaders at Eric Robinson Solicitors have been delighted with the news of its shortlisting for ‘Best Law Firm’ at the inaugural National Paralegal Awards to be held next month.
Judges were impressed by a career development programme created by the firm’s Head of HR, Debbie Sansome, and specifically designed to help individual employees realise their personal career aspirations.
‘The programme is called ‘Develop Me’ and centres around four key values; Excellence, Recognition, Investment and Collaboration,’ Debbie explains, smiling at the use of the acronym ‘ERIC’.
‘We invest not just money, but also time in mentoring schemes which help employees enhance and build on skill sets, take qualifications and get the best out of their current and future roles for a fulfilling career at the firm.’
The award, which is sponsored by the leading provider of post-qualification training for legal professionals, Central Law Training, received entries from across the country, from which a shortlist of seven firms were chosen, including major UK legal brands.
‘To be in the company of national law firms and their resources is both flattering and exhilarating.’ says Debbie, who is looking forward to the ceremony that will take place on 29th March at The Mayfair Hotel in London.
‘A professional services firm can only be as a good as its staff, which is why we believe it so important to employ, retain and nurture legal talent for the future,’ says Managing Partner, Craig Petrie. ‘We have supported Debbie and ‘Develop Me’ because we know that individual achievement is synonymous with our success as a firm.’
