Stephanie joined the firm in April 2024 and works within the team based at our Chandlers Ford office. She deals with all aspects of estate administration as well as helping client’s make their Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Stephanie is renowned for her empathetic manner with clients.
Qualifications and Professional Memberships
- LLB Law degree (First Class) Aston University, 2018
- Legal Practice Course, and Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Law, Bloomsbury, 2019 (Distinction)
- Admitted as a Solicitor, September 2021
Experience and Expertise
- Legal experience from 2016, with a particular specialism in Private Client work from 2020
- Drafting both simple and complex Wills, including the provision of tax advice in relation to trusts, including for both high value and low value estates
- Advising as to the severance of Joint Tenancies as between co-owners, and as to the preparation of Declarations of Trust
- Advising on the rules in relation to lifetime gifts for the purposes of inheritance tax planning
- Preparing and advising on all aspects of making and operating both types of Lasting Power of Attorney
- Advising as to the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney
- Advising and assisting with regard to the administration of estates (with or without a Will), from the registration of the death, to obtaining the Grant of Representation, realising the assets and distribution of the estate to beneficiaries
- Advising on the taxation aspects of estate administration (Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Income Tax), including the preparation of Deeds of Variation.
