Commercial Property Lawyer – Winchester

Job Description: Commercial Property Lawyer in Winchester Office  

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Commercial property experience of +1 year PQE required
  • Advising clients on all aspects of commercial property work.  This includes having been responsible for or assisted with a variety of commercial property transactions, including general landlord and tenant work, freehold acquisitions and disposals, deeds of variation, secured lending, option agreements and the like. Experience of small business sales and purchases would be preferred but is not essential.
  • Responding to clients in a professional, friendly and timely manner

 

Key Skills Required:

Good working knowledge of all aspects of commercial property

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Ability to prioritise work and confidence to work within a fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail

Self-sufficient & able to manage own workload

Flexibility and adaptability attitude to work

IT literate in Excel and Outlook

Working knowledge of case management systems & online systems

Working Pattern:

Full time 37.5 hours / 5 days per week preferred

Contentious Probate Fee Earner, Dispute Resolution – Southampton

We are seeking a Contentious Probate fee earner to join our highly successful Dispute Resolution team. The role is based in our head office in Hedge End, near Southampton.

The role involves advising clients on all aspects of Contentious Probate work including claims relating to the Inheritance Act 1975, the validity of Wills and the conduct of Executors.  The team also deals with various claims relating to the conduct of Attorneys and Deputies.

Good communication skills are essential, as the successful candidate would be required to communicate regularly with clients for instructions and to give advice. They will have previous experience and be able to manage and prioritise their own caseload.

Assistant support may be provided or could work on a self-sufficient basis.

The successful candidate will have a good level of technical knowledge and they will preferably have knowledge of case management systems.

The position is permanent and ideally full-time and we would welcome CV’s based on varying levels of experience.

Residential Conveyancer – Winchester

We are looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join the team at our Winchester office.

The role will involve advising clients on all aspects of residential Conveyancing. The work involves freehold and leasehold conveyancing, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, new-build, and shared ownership.

Good communication skills are essential, and candidates will be required to communicate regularly with clients for instructions and to give advice.  They will need to expedite transactions and to respond swiftly to enquiries, draft documents, research details about properties being bought or sold and undertake all work associated with the exchange, completion and post-completion of properties, including registration.

The ideal candidate’s technical knowledge will be good and excellent communication skills are a must. They will ideally have knowledge of case management systems, and an ability to use online systems such as those used for SDLT submissions, Land Registry applications etc.

You should be able to work self-sufficiently and have good computer skills.

Wills, Trusts and Succession Lawyer (Private Client) – All Offices

We are looking for an experienced Wills, Trust & Succession Fee Earner (Solicitor or Legal Executive) to join our growing team.  The role can be based at any of our six offices.

The role will involve advising clients on all aspects of Private Client legal work including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate & Estate Administration.

Good communication skills are essential, and the successful candidate would be required to communicate regularly with clients for instructions and to give advice. They will have previous experience & be able to manage and priorities their own caseload.

The ideal candidate’s technical knowledge will be good, and they will preferably have knowledge of case management systems and an ability to use online systems.

The role is permanent & full time (37.5 hours).

Conveyancing Legal Assistant – Chandlers Ford

Conveyancing – Legal Assistant, Chandlers Ford office

We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our friendly Conveyancing team in our Chandlers Ford office, near Southampton. The role involves providing support to 1 or more Conveyancing fee earners in a busy high street office, so good organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work is essential.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also important as candidates will be required to communicate regularly and professionally with clients and stakeholders. Proven experience in accuracy and attention to detail is important as the role will involve completion of legal documents and the use of our online case management systems.

The ideal candidate will have similar previous working experience and possess a good working knowledge of conveyancing legal work.
