Law for the Elderly

As you get older it is sensible to start thinking about getting your affairs in order and protecting your assets. You should regularly review your will to make sure that your assets will be distributed as you’d like.

It may be beneficial to incorporate a trust into your will to preserve assets for your loved ones, rather than all of your assets being used to fund future care.

You may also need to consider how your liability for inheritance tax will be met in the future. We’ll advise you on this, and we’ll help you decide whether or not to make a lasting power of attorney so that somebody you know and trust can make decisions on your behalf if you become unable to do so.
