Sarah joined the firm in August 2015 and works in the Wills, Trusts and Succession Department based in Southampton (Bitterne) and her work includes preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and assisting with the administration of estates. Sarah also specialises in Court of Protection matters.
Qualifications and Professional Memberships
- Law Degree (LLB Hons), Southampton Institute (now Solent University), graduated 2004
- Legal Practice Course (LPC), Bournemouth University, graduated 2006
- Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) Member – Advanced Paralegal (MCILEX)
Experience and Expertise
- Preparation of Wills of all types, for estates of varying values and complexity, including the creation of Trusts
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Registering Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPAs)
- Assisting with Court of Protection matters including Deputyship Applications, the appointment and/or discharge of Trustees applications and management of a person’s affairs
- Advising and assisting with obtaining Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration, including advising in relation to the taxation issues arising therefrom
- Preparation of estate accounts
- Advising and preparing post death Deeds of Variation
